Who’s Eligible To Run For President?

This is the strangest election I have ever seen.  I began to realize, there are few rules in the Constitution, as to who can run for president.  Article II sec 1 of the Constitution lays out the rules for how our president is elected, and who can run for president.  It states, a person must be a natural born citizen, thirty-five years old, and a resident of the United States for fourteen years.

Can a communist run for president?  Apparently they can, we have Bernie Sanders a democratic socialist.   There is little difference between his socialistic ideas and communism.  We have Hillary Clinton who is under investigation by the FBI for the way she handled her emails, top secret government information, and her role in the Benghazi debacle, which caused the death of five Americans.  While she was Secretary of State, she betrayed our trust; she was busy selling out America and political favors to foreign governments in the Middle East.  At the same time, enormous sums of money were rolling into the Clinton Foundation, and Bill was getting paid huge sums of money for giving speeches.   Were these huge sums of money kickbacks to the Clinton family for Hillary’s political favors?    I find it hard to believe; with all the scandals, alleged corruption, and criminal activities surrounding the Clinton family, Hillary is qualified to run for the highest office in the land. As far as I am concerned, she is a mendacious popinjay, and a child of perdition.  Hillary could be indicted for her alleged crimes, and if convicted, she could go to prison. Would I be allowed to run for a local political office if I was under investigation by the State or the FBI?   I would be told; I couldn’t run pending the outcome of the investigation.   Apparently; anyone who meets the requirements of Article II sec 1 of the United States Constitution, even a child of perdition, is eligible to run for the 0ffice of the president of the United States.

There is a second point I would like to make.  The XXII Amendment limits the length of time our president is allowed to remain in office. I believe; it’s the only Amendment in the Constitution that says who is ineligible to run for president.   Once a president has run their limited number of years, they are ineligible to run again.

When a president has served their two terms; why are their family members allowed to run for the office of president?  President Clinton served two terms. Should Hillary really have the right to run for president?   A vote for Hillary is a vote for Bill.  Who is really going to be running the country Hillary or Bill?  If Hillary is to win the presidential election, she could run again in 2020 and serve another four years.  We could end up having sixteen years under the rule of the Clinton family pseudo-monarchy.

The Bush family controlled the presidential office for 12 years.  In this election, the Bush family once again tried to gain control of the White House; when Jeb Bush tried running for president.  Between the two royal families they have served five terms and been in control of the presidency for 20 years.  It seems like we have been passing the presidential torch back and forth between the two royal families for a long time. The presidency should not be a family affair.

When our founding fathers drafted the Constitution, they limited the presidential term to four years.  They were very adamant, that America should not have a king or a royal family. They never envisioned that America would have a royal family or a pseudo-monarchy. The American Revolution came about due to the tyrannical rule of a king and the British monarchy. The XXII Amendment of our Constitution needs to be changed, so a president can only serve for four years, and family members are ineligible to run for the presidential office.  America needs to safe guard itself against a pseudo-monarchy.

A wise man once said, “Sooner or later, every successful revolution bares the robes of those it once despised.”  It seems like America is heading back where it started. For the last 28 years, we have been under the control of an expanding tyrannical government, a pseudo-monarchy consisting of two royal families, and our present day king, who has no respect for Congress, our Constitution, or the laws of our land.
