The Importance of the II Amendment

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.  When the writers of the II Amendment were referring to a militia, they were not talking about a government run militia like The National Guard. They were referring to a militia formed of civilians and citizens of our country; one independent of the government.  Having a government run militia to protect us from the powers of an over reaching government would be nonsensical.  Not only is this a right, it’s a necessity. The writers of the II Amendment realized this freedom is so important, they added the provision; “the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” to protect citizens from having this right taken away. No one, not even the government, has the right to encroach upon the rights of this amendment.  The II Amendment gives us the right to stand up to tyranny, to protect all of our liberties and freedoms from both domestic and foreign intrusion.

Hillary Clinton has vowed if elected to the presidency, she will repeal the II Amendment even if she has to use an executive order to do so. This should be very disconcerting to all Americans.  If they repeal the II Amendment, gun ownership will no longer be a Constitutional right, but a privilege under the law, subject to any taxes, licenses, laws, or penalties the government wishes to impose. Worst of all it could lead to a total ban on guns.  However; those who wish to impose their will upon others will retain their rights to bear arms.

Hillary Clinton and her cronies are professional propagandists, who will peddle their myths, contrivances, and sophisms trying to convince us that America without firearms will be one great crime free utopia.  Will it be a gun free utopia like France, and Belgium, where men have stood there helpless; while, ISIS raped their wives and daughters, because they have no firearms to protect them?

Are Hillary and political opponents of the II Amendment going to be willing to give up their armed hired thugs, who protect their lives?  Of course not, they know a band on fire arms is not going to deter crime. They will spend millions of tax payer’s dollars to protect themselves, but they don’t care if we have the ability to protect our lives, homes, or liberties.  As history has showed us, little good has ever come from gun control.  It allows the oppressor to lord over and subdue the oppressed, the master to enslave his servants, and liberties to be shackled.  We saw this in Germany, when Adolf Hitler confiscated guns from the Jews and in 18th Century America when the slaves were not allowed to have firearms.  If we let Hillary and our politicians abolish the II Amendment, it will be the beginning of our sorrows and the end of democracy as we know it.

The II Amendment was adopted in 1795; why has it all of sudden become a problem to our democracy, instead of an asset to protect our liberties?  It is the only thing that stands between liberty and tyranny. Taking guns out of the hands of millions of law abiding citizens, trampling on the Bill of Rights, and the right of the entire nation to protect our liberties is not a viable solution to the rise of gun violence in America.

It seems like a lot people in America have lost their appreciation for our freedoms. Have we forgotten the price our ancestors paid for our freedoms? The patriots of early America had guns to defend themselves, and to stand up to the tyranny of the British government. This was the reasoning for the creation of the II Amendment. They wanted to make sure the citizens of this newly formed nation, would never live in tyranny again.  Why do Hillary Clinton and some politicians want to take away our right to protect our liberties?  What in God’s name are they thinking?  Maybe; they remember all too well, what happened in 1776 when the people in America became tired of living under a constantly expanding government encroaching into every aspect of their lives?

Our Constitution, freedoms, and liberties all hang on one sentence, twenty-seven words. The greatest words ever penned on paper; the II Amendment of the Constitution of the United States. We must never let it be taken from us.
