On September 11, 2012, our Embassy in Benghazi, Libya was under siege by a pre-planned well coordinated attack by an Al-Qaida affiliate for more than eight hours. Four Americans were killed. Our government has tried to cover up the attack by telling us, it was a protest of an American made anti-Islamic video. I would consider a planned attack by Al-Qaida against our embassy and the CIA annex in Benghazi that killed four Americans to be an act of war against the United States.
The CIA Chief, and the State Department Officials in Libya, knew immediately the attack had nothing to do with the anti-Islamic video. The military had drones flying over Benghazi, so Brigadier General, Robert Lovell, in Germany, was able to watch the attack play out in real time. He said, “Our State Department never even asked for the military to intervene to try and save the lives of the four Americans.” The military could not intervene without the order coming from our President. Why didn’t the President send in the military? For eight hours that night, no one seems to know where the President was. Why were we told the lie, it was a protest over a video, and why did they try to keep the truth from us, and that it was a terrorist attack? I would like to know; why is this administration so reluctant to call these radical Islamic groups that kill Americans, terrorists? It seems like this administration always wants to make excuses for the actions of these radical Islamic groups.
Is our President the one that came up with the lie that the incident was a protest due to the video? It seems like every time our President opens his mouth, he spits out seeds of deception, deceit, and lies. The Presidential election was only seven weeks away. Were they worried the truth would hurt their political agendas, and the re-election of President Obama? Do their political agendas trump the terrorist attack on Benghazi, and the lives of the four Americans?
Ambassador Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods, and Glen Doherty were killed there that night. They are fallen comrades of an act of terrorism. By attempting to cover up this attack, the government has stripped the four fallen comrades of their dignity, honor, and the respect they deserve. The families of these four men should be treated, and honored like any other family that has lost a loved one in an act of war or terrorism.
The former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was getting real time information on the attack in Benghazi. The State Department was watching the attack in real time on video from our drones flying over our embassy in Benghazi, and security cameras on the grounds of the compound. I am sure she knew it was an Islamic militant attack with rocket propelled grenades and machine guns. I find it very hard to believe with the technology and surveillance we have today, the State Department wasn’t cognizant as to what was going on in Benghazi. The government of Libya warned the State Department of a growing danger in Benghazi. The British and several other countries around the world brought their Ambassadors home to keep them out of harm’s way. The embassy asked for more security weeks before the attack. The State Department never provided the extra security. Why wasn’t the extra security provided? Someone in our State Department needs to be held accountable. Personally; I think Hillary Clinton should be brought up on charges of dereliction of her duties. If the deaths of these four Americans was due to her total incompetency, she needs to be prosecuted and jailed. Are not her hands, soiled with their blood? She should not be allowed to have her name on the 2016 election ballot, pending the outcome of the Select Committee’s investigation.
The attack was carried out by the Islamic militant group; Amsar Al-Shari's. It has been eighteen months since the attack, why has no one been held accountable, or brought to justice for the Benghazi attack? Is this the way it works, an Islamic militant group can murder Americans, attack our embassy, and that is the end of the story?
There is no doubt, the embassy in Benghazi could have been better protected, and the deaths of the four Americans could have been avoided. The entire catastrophe was caused by the incompetency of our State Department and our leadership. We the people need to demand the truth about Benghazi, and justice for the four murdered Americans. Those involved in this political debacle must be held accountable for their actions and brought to justice.
